Donating to charity in your will takes a few simple steps: choose a cause, decide what to leave, and ask a solicitor to add it to your will. The four charities below run gifts in wills programs, so you can reach out to them for details.

Start with the cause. Think about what matters to you and which charity does that work well. Then decide on the gift: a set amount, a percentage of your estate, or what's left after other gifts are paid.
Ask a solicitor or your state's public trustee to write the gift into your will. Include the charity's full legal name and ABN, which you'll find on the ACNC Charity Register. Many charities are happy to talk it through with you.
Tap4Change takes donations of money today, not gifts in wills. For more on bequests and planned giving, see our guide to legacy giving.

Want a different charity? Search all 60,000+ charities. How we picked these four: from Tap4Change's charity data, we took charities that name a gifts in wills or bequest program, rated 2 or 3 stars with a complete profile, and ranked them by their most recent annual donations. Schools, religious groups and charities in our legacy giving guide were left out, so only four fit.
Some donations come with a thank you perk from a partner brand, like a voucher or a free product. It's a small thanks for showing up, never the reason to give. Offers change often, so check what's on when you donate.

Choose the charity, decide on the gift, and ask a solicitor or your state's public trustee to add it to your will. Use the charity's full legal name and ABN, from the ACNC Charity Register.
If you already have a will, you can usually add a gift without starting again.
The most common are a set amount of money, a percentage of your estate, and the residue, which is what's left once other gifts are paid. Some people leave a specific item, like property or shares.
A percentage or residue gift keeps its value as your estate changes over time.
You don't have to, but it can help. A charity can confirm its legal details and tell you how gifts are used.
Many charities also like the chance to say thank you.
Tax rules for gifts in wills are different from everyday donations. Ask your solicitor or a tax adviser how a gift in your will works for your estate.
Most charities on this page are marked as tax deductible in our charity data, and each card shows a chip for this. Donations you make today on Tap4Change are tax deductible if the charity is an eligible DGR, and you can download your receipt from your profile.
A thank you perk is a small gesture from a brand that partners with Tap4Change, such as a voucher or a free product, offered with some donations. Your donation still goes 100% to the charity. The perk comes from the brand, and offers rotate, so what's available depends on when you give.
If you can't donate right now, reach out to the Tap4Change team at support@tap4change.org. Sharing a charity's page is a great way to help too.
