Education charities help kids stay in school, catch up on reading and find their path into work. The six below work in Australia and overseas, from Clontarf here at home to programs in Cambodia and Papua New Guinea. Give to the one that speaks to you, and 100% of your donation goes to the charity.

Education charities fill the gaps school can't always cover: tutoring, learning clubs, school costs, mentoring and support for kids who are falling behind. Some start before school, with early learning. Others help young people finish school and move into work or study.
Some work here in Australia, including programs with First Nations communities. Others work overseas, in places like Cambodia and Papua New Guinea. For monthly giving that supports children, see our guide to sponsoring a child.
Money is the most flexible gift. It lets each charity pay for tutors, teachers and supplies where they're needed. Looking for smaller Indigenous learning programs? See our guide to Indigenous support services.

Want a different charity? Search all 60,000+ charities. How we picked these six: from Tap4Change's charity data, we took charities whose main work is education, rated 2 or 3 stars with a complete profile, and ranked them by their most recent annual donations. Schools, universities and religious groups were left out.
Some donations come with a thank you perk from a partner brand, like a voucher or a free product. It's a small thanks for showing up, never the reason to give. Offers change often, so check what's on when you donate.

The Smith Family runs Learning ClubsAcademies help young men stay engaged and on track to finish.

Programs listed come from each charity's details in Tap4Change's charity data. For how fees, ACNC registration and tax receipts work, see the Tap4Change FAQs, the ACNC Charity Register and the ATO's gifts and donations guide.
Pick one of the charities above, open its Tap4Change profile, tap donate and choose an amount. It takes about a minute, and you can give once or monthly.
A monthly gift helps a charity plan a whole school year ahead. You can change or cancel it any time from your donation history.
Regular support tends to go furthest, because learning takes time. Programs that stick with a child through school, like long-term education support or school-based academies, can make a real difference.
Money is usually more useful than donated school supplies, because charities can buy exactly what each student needs.
Yes, if the charity you choose is eligible. Tax deductibility is shown at the top of each charity's page on Tap4Change. Donations to a charity endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), and covered by Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997, are tax deductible.
Four of the six charities on this page are marked as tax deductible in our charity data. The Kokoda Track Foundation and The Front Project aren't, so don't count on a deduction for a gift to them. Each card shows a chip for this. You can download your receipt from your profile to claim it at tax time.
Both make a difference, so it comes down to what matters to you. Charities here help kids facing disadvantage stay in school. Charities overseas often fund basics like classrooms, teachers and school places.
If you can't decide, you could split a monthly gift between one of each.
A thank you perk is a small gesture from a brand that partners with Tap4Change, such as a voucher or a free product, offered with some donations. Your donation still goes 100% to the charity. The perk comes from the brand, and offers rotate, so what's available depends on when you give.
If you can't donate right now, reach out to the Tap4Change team at support@tap4change.org. Sharing a charity's page is a great way to help too.
