A donation makes a thoughtful Christmas present. Give in the name of a friend, a colleague or someone who has everything, and let them know with a card. These four charities run Christmas programs for families doing it tough, so your gift helps someone else's Christmas too.

Choose a charity that suits the person, donate in their name, then tell them about the gift in a Christmas card or message. It's a good pick for Secret Santa, for teachers and colleagues, or for family who'd rather not have more stuff.
If you'd like the gift to go to Christmas itself, pick a charity with a Christmas program, like the ones below. They help with things like toys, hampers and Christmas Day lunch for people in their community.
Want to support the big Christmas appeals instead? Our guide to the charity Christmas appeal covers them. For gifts any time of year, see the best charity gifts in Australia.

Want a different charity? Search all 60,000+ charities. How we picked these four: from Tap4Change's charity data, we took charities that name a Christmas program, rated 2 or 3 stars with a complete profile, and ranked them by their most recent annual donations. Churches, overseas-focused charities and charities already featured in our Christmas appeal guide were left out, so only four fit.
Some donations come with a thank you perk from a partner brand, like a voucher or a free product. It's a small thanks for showing up, never the reason to give. Offers change often, so check what's on when you donate.

Yes, if the charity you choose is eligible. Tax deductibility is shown at the top of each charity's page on Tap4Change. Donations to a charity endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), and covered by Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997, are tax deductible.
Three of the four charities on this page are marked as tax deductible in our charity data. ABC Giving Tree isn't, so don't count on a deduction for a gift to it. Each card shows a chip for this. You can download your receipt from your profile to claim it at tax time.
A thank you perk is a small gesture from a brand that partners with Tap4Change, such as a voucher or a free product, offered with some donations. Your donation still goes 100% to the charity. The perk comes from the brand, and offers rotate, so what's available depends on when you give.
If you can't donate right now, reach out to the Tap4Change team at support@tap4change.org. Sharing a charity's page is a great way to help too.
